Charmed

Cause:
To reunite the Manoa park moms and reinvigorate friendships with a little rest and relaxation (as much as can be had with 11 children at hand) and lots of late-night talk.

Context:

Company:

Cogitations:
Relationships are where it's at! They don't keep themselves and it's way worth the effort and/or stress involved in maintaining/fostering, even initiating, ties. This was even funner and more rewarding than I anticipated. It makes me want to celebrate and mark as special other relationships too. Some such celebrations are already on the calendar but I'd love to add more. Call me up to set a date?

Why don't I have friends like this in Logan? Maybe because communal places don't seem to be used as much? Maybe because I'm entering a different stage of life that is more consumed with my own family? I want to be consumed in tandem! Most likely because all relationships, and especially close relationships, require TIME, lots and lots of time to develop. Phooey. Well I've got years to go here and raw "clinical material" to work with. In the meantime, gotta love that silver and gold!

Wonderful photos, Becca. All these little people with their own thoughts and lives.

(Sigh. Your post comes on a day when I'm feeling particularly sorry for myself about being in Poky almost a year, and still not finding silver.)

If it's any comfort, I'm not finding silver either. Wish you were 1.5 minutes away instead of 1.5 hours.

becca-

your outing/party/extended weekend looks so fabulous. why is the borg sprawled all over the u.s.? it is just SO NOT FAIR!

i think relationships are totally where it's at, but it's frustrating to the max when the silver you're hoping for turns to copper or nickel or dirt.

at first i didn't get the silver and gold comment, i must admit. I thought you were referring to the silver and gold jewelry you and your friends were wearing in the pic. and then it dawned on me.

you, my dear, are platinum to me!

Rachel, you crack me up.

ps--I never ventured to mention it on your blog, but I ADORE your Darlybird logo. Super-duper-licious.

What an excellent, celebratory post. But now I feel lonesome! Howzabout some Buchert Beauties?

chi, nickel or dirt? do tell. ditto on platinum!

geo, yesyes. i'm practically begging for more events like this and it doesn't have to be a group--one on one suits me just fine.

more thoughts on friendships to come.
