Love your list! You chose some that I love too.
fun! the blossom dearie video was a little freaky! :) I just heard about her on NPR this week and was really loving her music. I love that title, too! I never look at YouTube for some reason, but I love the ingenuity/craziness of some people out there putting these things together. It's pretty awesome.
thanks for the fun list. hope you had a glorious valentine's day.
Oh yeah, I love Adele---a lot of her songs would fit nicely on your list. And I was thinking about you because i think you'd like the new album by robert plant and allison kraus, please read the letter. i think i'll download it today.
you're the greatest!
Great list for a new playlist. Though, you missed my favorite: "Annie's Song" by John Denver. Although I like to call it "Emily's Song." Take care.
M
my current favorite?
forever, ben harper
Thanks Liz; I hope you give me a song too.
Chi, I always love to get song recommendations from you. I was trying to remember the Dixie Chicks(?) song you played for me that was a pseudo-lullaby? I'm excited to check out the others.
Micah, I think that is one of Martin's favorite songs too and is on a playlist he made for me. The valentine's list is not exhaustive I guess. Thanks for sharing your favorite!
Anna, I've never heard of it (since I am generally not hip and up on these things); I'm excited to look it up.
You already listed some of my favorites, but a few more include: You're my everything (Michael Buble),
She's got a way (Billy Joel),
As Long As You're Mine (Wicked)
In Your Eyes (Peter Gabriel)
You Look Wonderful Tonight (Michael Buble)
Lady In Red (Chris de Burgh)
So Close (from Enchanted)
and if I weren't so tired I could probably think of more oh, of course some U2 stuff would have to make that list, too.
Suddenly by Soraya was (is?) "our song"; don't forget Mazzy Star, especially anything from She Hangs Brightly, and St. Valentine's Day by the Dream Academy (of course that's about breaking up on Valentine's Day...:( )
Love & Miss you, Becca. I'll be back later with a belated birthday wish. Hope you had a great bday.
You've got a few of my favorites listed. Fun!
"You Can Never Hold Back Spring" by Tom Waits will always be one of my favorites.
